The continuing saga of Day 5

Ah, the Clean Crawls guys (insulation, birdblocking)... They finally show around 5:30pm. They finish the birdblocking, and boy is it awesome. And by awesome, I mean unprofessional and shoddy. Look at these:

Anyway, so yeah. Not sure what can be done here... And they didn't clean up afterwards.

Also, apparently they didn't know they were supposed to finish installing the rigid insulation that they missed. Thankfully we caught them and told them they need to do that. So they do. They head out around 8:30pm, but I notice one piece of insulation is very loose, so Mark runs out and gets the guy to refoam it. But he does it angled so there isn't any airflow around it. And they give us an invoice for this work, which isn't itemized and includes some things that are included from our main contractor. They seem really not with it.

Chris is going to talk to the owner of the company. We are not paying full price for all this shoddy work... We were quoted on 16 birdblocks, they only did 10. Apparently they didn't know they were supposed to also do the other side of the house. Communication at Clean Crawls is WAY sub-par.

Other than that, the sheetrock went really well! Here are some pictures:

The a/c unit had to be installed outside the deck. :( We don't have much space on the side of the house, so we couldn't do it there (it would leave no more than 2' of space between it and the fence, and we couldn't get anything through to the back yard). So it goes here. It couldn't go under the deck because it needed another foot of clearance above (requirement is 5'). But I can work with this - do some creative landscaping... It's totally worth it for the cooling!
