Wednesday through Friday of last week went pretty well!
Apparently there was some waxy residue on the tile - not sure how that got there, but it seeped into the grout somehow and made a couple dark spots. Liam regrouted the areas and resealed the tile. He installed the sink. There was an issue with the toilet - apparently not all flange thingies are the same, so the one that was there didn't fit the toilet we had special ordered (we needed a 10" rough-in b/c of the small space)... It didn't allow the toilet to sit flush against the tile. So the solution is to get a new flange that is lower. It'll go in sometime this week.
Friday, a couple of the guys from European Hardwood came by to put the last coat on the floors! They lightly sanded and then put the finish coat on. It took maybe a couple hours. Wasn't too stinky - we just went out for a walk around SeaFair, then went out with friends that night, when we got back, it had mostly dissipated.
Saturday, we went upstairs to look at it, and it's looking awesome! There are just a few minor things that need to be finished up this week, but we should have our house back this weekend!!! :) YAY!
This morning (Tues), Dale showed up at 7am sharp to patch the drywall in the stairwell and fix up the rest of the wall issues and retexturize.
Thursday or Friday Robert will come back to re-poly the paneled walls, as well as touch up the paint. We'll probably have him fill the holes in the trim and repaint it, as well as paint the stair risers. Then early next week we'll have Liam come back to finish up! Hopefully we'll be moving stuff this weekend - the last bits Liam needs to do doesn't require the rooms to be empty, so we can get a head start before the handrail goes back up.
