The potholder is DONE

There are a few messups, but overall, not too bad! I learned how to crochet around the edges, and by the 3rd edge, I totally got the hang of it.

Here's my finished potholder. I'll definitely work on another one that will look a bit cleaner and actually be usable. But for a first project, I think it went OK.

My next project is a simple scarf with fringe. I'll be using larger needles (11's), and a bulky yarn.

The pattern is pretty simple:
CO 22 st
row 1: knit
row 2: k2, purl 18, k2
row 3: knit
row 4: knit
repeat until ~48" long.

I was doing this, but somehow got lost in my counting of rows (fail on properly using a row counter; I was doing 4 rows, then increasing the counter) because all of a sudden, the pattern switched from right side to wrong side. I did this for like 15 rows before I realized I was screwing up. I decided to just restart... And am religiously using a row counter for each row now so as to not make the same mistake again. I hope. We'll see....
